In order to ensure that Seniors have the latest information about Vote By Mail and other elections services, Mayor Tom Hannen brought Nicole Dirado, Administrator of the Union County Board of Elections, to the Thursday Club at the Cranford Community Center recently.
Nicole spoke about changes to the state’s Vote by Mail process, and the security of Union County’s voting systems. The week before, she spoke to the Cranford Democrats about voting.
Due to changes in state law, many New Jersey voters have received Vote by Mail ballots even though they had not requested them. If those voters had not “opted out” of voting by mail, they will not be able to use the voting machines on Election Day. They will have to cast a provisional ballot.
